Compare the generator and its container

A containerised generator combines the generating set with a substantial enclosure. The container may also house cooling equipment, silencers, fuel equipment or access space, depending on the individual installation. Check the listing photographs and specifications to establish the complete package being offered.

Container length alone is not enough to plan transport. Obtain overall dimensions, operating or transport weight as appropriate, lifting information and details of any projecting exhausts or cooling equipment. Agree who will arrange offloading and whether the receiving site has sufficient access.

For an export enquiry, confirm whether the container is suitable for the proposed shipping method and what supporting documentation the carrier requires. Do not assume that a modified generator container can be shipped in exactly the same way as a standard freight container.
